Normally, because you using some of the more complex and advanced features of the system, a consultant would provide expert assistance here to help you set this up correctly.
One thing you should do when setting up your environment in this way is to add the LimitLogIn statement under the [System] area inside the file CAPSYS.INI found in your \CAPITAL folder:

This will prevent users from logging in to the system, except from the front menu.
Another area where problems can arise is when you create a new user, but forget to assign that user to a department. This can result in the user acquiring transaction sequences from either department. The correct way to ensure that this doesn't happen is to make your first department 'Z' which will act as a 'catchment' and then ensure that Z users do not have any access to stock locations. This can avoid problems months or years later when new users are added.
